THE CITY OF <br />-~- ~" CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />PL~~1S~4NTONo <br />December 2, 2008 <br />Administrative Services <br />TITLE: ADOPT A RESOLUTION DECLARING RESULTS OF THE GENERAL <br />MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 4, 2008 <br />SUMMARY <br />A General Municipal Election was held on November 4, 2008 for the purpose of electing <br />a Mayor and two members of the City Council, and voting on a two ballot measures, <br />Measure PP (Save Pleasanton's Hills and Housing Cap Citizens' Initiative) and <br />Measure QQ (Pleasanton Ridgeline Protection and Growth Control Initiative). The City <br />consolidated its election and contracted with Alameda County Registrar of Voters to <br />conduct the election and canvass the returns. The Registrar of Voters has completed <br />the official canvass and will provide the City with a Statement of the Results of all votes <br />cast for each of the candidates and the ballot measures on December 2nd <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Adopt the proposed Resolution Reciting the Fact of the General Municipal Election held <br />on November 4, 2008, declaring the results and such other matters as provided by law. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />There is no fiscal impact associated with this action. <br />Submitted by: Approved <br />~~aZ <br />Karen Diaz v Nelson Fialho <br />City Clerk City Manager <br />Attachment: <br />1.
