LEASE AGREEMENT TENNIS FACILITIES - YOUNG CALIFORNIA BUILDING ALAMEDA COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS THIS LEASE, made and entered into this day of by and between the ALAMEDA COUNTY AGRICULTURAL FAIR ASSOCIATION, a California nonprofit corporation, hereinafter referred to as "Lessor," and the CITY OF PLEASANTON, a general law city of the State of California, hereinafter referred to as "Lessee." WITNESSETH In consideration of the promises, agreements and rents herein set forth, the parties mutually agree as follows: 1. Lessor lets to Lessee and Lessee rents from Lessor the following described premises situated on the Alameda County Fairgrounds, City of Pleasanton, County of Alameda, State of California: That certain building commonly known and designated as the Young California Building, together with the parking areas as shown in red on the plot plan attached (Attachment A) hereto and made a part of this Agreement. 2. The term of this Lease shall be for two 4-1/2 month periods, the first commencing on or about the first of November 1985 and ending on March 31, 1986 and the second commencing on or about the first of November 1986 but no later than November 10, 1986 and ending on March 31, 1987. If Lessor has not reserved the Young California Building for the first 10 days of November 1986, Lessor shall notify Lessee accordingly and grant an extension for the 10 days (1986) period of November 1986. 3. The agreed rental for each full month period of this Lease shall be the monthly sum of ONE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED AND NO/100THS DOLLARS ($1,800.00), except as follows: A. The rental fee for November will be prorated from the time the City takes possession based on the monthly rental fee of $1,800.00 per month. - 1 -
