EXHIBIT "B" <br /> COMPENSATION <br /> <br /> DESIGN OF VALLEY AVENUE AND STANLEY BOULEVARD IMPROVEMENTS <br /> <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />FEE <br /> <br />City of Pleasanton shall pay Bisse11 & Karn, Inc. for consulting services as <br />outlined in SCOPE OF WORK, as follows: <br /> <br />TIME AND MATERIALS (T&M) with maximum fee of: <br /> <br />1. VERIFY EXISTING CONDITIONS $ 11,200.00 <br />2. PREPARE ROADWAY IMPROVEMENT DRAWINGS AND ESTIMATE 45,200.00 <br />3. PREPARE AND ASSEMBLE SPECIFICATIONS 3,450.00 <br /> <br />4. PREPARE TRAFFIC SIGNAL, CROSSING PROTECTION AND STREET <br /> LIGHTING PLANS 24,250.00 <br /> <br /> , <br />5. PREPARE LANDSCAPE AND IRRIGATION SYSTEM PLANS 10,250.00 <br /> <br />6. PREPARE RIGHT-OF-WAY MAPS AND DESCRIPTIONS 7,100.00 <br /> TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT BUDGET $101,450.00 <br /> , <br /> The maximum time and materials fees for these tasks are based upon a <br /> preliminary construction cost estimate of $4,450,000 and reflect a <br /> multiplier of 1.8%. Figure 1, Curve A, of the 1980 ASCE Manual 45 <br /> indicates that a multiplier of 6.4% would be appropriate for this project. <br /> The percentage reduction is attributable to work previously performed. <br /> <br />The above total estimated project budget does not include the following: <br /> <br /> o Soi 1 s engi neeri ng <br /> o Environmental processing <br /> o Construction staking/surveying <br /> <br />This fee does not include any work previously performed at the direction of the <br />City of Pleasanton or Callahan-Pentz Properties prior to the date of this <br />contract. <br /> <br />REIMBURSEMENT FOR CERTAIN COSTS: In addition to the amounts payable by City of <br />Pleasanton as noted above, City of Pleasanton shall reimburse Bissell & Karn <br />for Bissell & Karn's actual costs of copies of any plans (in excess of 50 <br />copies), drawings or specifications requested by City of Pleasanton and <br />provided by Bissell & Karn, Inc. <br /> <br /> <br />
