_ Chairperson Kumazan requested that page 11, "Matters initiated by Commission members" be amended <br />to read, "Chairperson Kumazan alluded to the accident close to Harvest Pazk and initiated discussion." <br />3. MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE <br />PLANNING COMMISSION ON ANY ITEM WHICH IS NOT ALREADY ON THE <br />AGENDA <br />There were none. <br />4. REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Mr. Iserson stated that item 6D will be continued to the November 23, 1998 Planning Commission <br />meeting. <br />5. MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />There were none. <br />6. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />a. UP-98-51, Karen Sabetan <br />Application for a conditional use permit to allow an attached second unit approximately <br />420 square feet in floor area within an existing residence located at 6259 Corte Fuego. <br />Zoning for the property is R-1-6,500 District. <br />Chairperson Kumazan stated he will be abstaining on this item due to his familiarity with the applicant. <br />Mr. Iserson referenced the staff report dated November 10, 1998 and highlighted key azeas contained in <br />the report including background information, land use compatibility, and parking. In conclusion, Mr. <br />Iserson stated that staffs recommendation is that the Planning Commission make the required use permit <br />findings and approve Case UP-98-51 subject to condition listed in Exhibit "B." <br />Discussion ensued relating to the set back on the side of the house, the second unit walkway, and <br />additional fees that could be charged in connection with the second unit. <br />PUBLIC HEARING WAS OPENED <br />Fazhad Sabetan, the applicant, introduced himself to the Commission and expressed his willingness to <br />answer any questions raised by the Commission. <br />In response to questions raised by commissioners, Mr. Sabetan stated that a cement pathway will be <br />installed to access the front door for the second unit to avoid walking on the lawn, and that pazking in <br />the driveway will be limited. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES Page 2 November 10, 1998 <br />
