REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Mr. Iserson stated that item 6C will be continued to the October 14, 1998, Planning Commission <br />meeting; Item 6D will be continued to the October 14, 1998, Planning Commission meeting; Item 6E <br />will be continued to the October 14, 1998, Planning Commission meeting; and, Item 6F will be <br />continued to the October 28, 1998, Planning Commission meeting. <br />5. MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />There were none. <br />6. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />a. UP-98-53, Carl Rodrigues <br />Application for a conditional use permit to operate a cabinet shop in an existing building <br />located at 1032 Serpentine Lane #103. Zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit <br />Development) - 1 (Industrial District). <br />Mr. Iserson referenced a staff report dated September 23, 1998, and highlighted key azeas contained in <br />the report including background, project description, land use and noise. In conclusion, Mr. Iserson <br />stated that staff s recommendation is to make the required conditional use permit findings and approve <br />Case UP 98-53, subject to the conditions listed in Exhibit "B." <br />Discussion ensued between commissioners and staff relating to fumes being released into the <br />environment and the hours of business operation being from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. <br />PUBLIC HEARING WAS OPENED <br />Cazl Rodrigues, 1032 Serpentine Lane #105, informed the Commission he has operated a place of <br />business in Dublin since 1976 and due to his lease expiring and the cost necessary to renovate the <br />building, he decided to relocate to Pleasanton. Further, he stated that he has complied with the City of <br />Dublin's restrictions with no complaints ever being filed. He concluded by stating he will comply with <br />the City of Pleasanton's restrictions and procedures. <br />Discussion ensued relating to noise issues and the filtration system that is installed in business. <br />PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES Page 2 September 23, 1998 <br />
