- 8. MATTERS FOR COMMISSION'S REVIEW
a. Future Plannine Calendar
All the Commissioners indicated that they were available on all the proposed dates for the Joint City
Council-Planning Commission meeting.
b. Actions of the City Council
There were none.
c. Actions of the Zonine Administrator
Commissioner Kumazan inquired about Crowne Plaza Hotel's application to remove a 1,000-gallon
underground diesel fuel tank and replace it with a 1,000-gallon above-ground tank. Mr. Iserson replied
that the underground fuel tank served the back-up generator at the hotel, and to clean up the soil and
mitigate future soil contamination, it is being replaced by a small above-ground tank with double
containment walls and designed with the latest technology to prevent leakage.
Commissioner Maas inquired what was being constructed on Valley Avenue across from the wagering
station. Mr. Higdon replied that the City of San Francisco Water Department is drilling a new well to
- provide better water supply to Castlewood. He added that San Francisco obtained a permit from Zone 7
to drill the well and since it is being done on San Francisco property and to improve an existing utility,
the City has no jurisdiction over it.
Commissioner Dove stated that the Commission needs to appoint a liaison to the Downtown Pazk and
Trails Committee to replace Debra Bazker. Chair Cooper asked Commissioner Dove to fill the position
until his term expires in August.
9. COMMUNICATIONS
There were none.
10.
