comparison with the Stoneridge Specific Plan, but the rest of the area was left off for the future, and the
future is now. He stated that he believes there is room for a plan for the azea that looks at the major
unplanned portions. He noted that he does not see a point to re-plan azeas that have been planned, but he
does see room for improvement. He does not want to see anopen-ended process, but would like to see
the process done in a year. With regard to the committee make-up, Chair Cooper stated that there needs
to be neighborhood representation with involvement of the other stakeholders. He feels the gravel
companies need to be represented, as well as the major land owners, and while they should not be the
majority, they should get a vote. He reiterated that he would not support any motion to make a decision
on this item tonight.
Commissioner Wright asked if there was any possibility for members of the audience to review the
minutes before Commissioner Kumaran receives them, to assure that their statements are correct. Chair
Cooper suggested that a review of the minutes could take place at the next meeting prior to a decision on
this item. Commissioner Bazker suggested that the minutes be put on the Web. It was also noted that
the public could write letters that would be given to the Planning Commission as part of its packet.
A motion was made by Commissioner Wright, seconded by Commissioner Barker, continuing this
item to the meeting of April 8, 1998.
ROLL CALL VOTE
AYES: Commissioners Barker, Dove, and Wright, and Chair Cooper
NOES: None
ABSENT: Commissioner Kumazan
ABSTAIN: None
The motion carried.
4.
