2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Commissioner Barker amended page 2, paragraph 3, sentence 3, to read as follows: <br />"Commissioner Barker concurred with Mr. Cordtz and stated his recommendation should be in <br />the 'New Business' section of the Minutes." <br />Commissioner Barker amended page 8, paragraph 3, to read as follows: "Commissioner Barker <br />commented that the neighbors have diligently followed the project and she believes that the <br />condition has changed, specifically some large trees that shielded the view have been removed. <br />Otherwise, Commissioner Barker agreed that there could be a two-story home on the lot." (The <br />remainder of the paragraph to read as written.) <br />Commissioner Barker also amended page 14, paragraph 3, sentence 2, to read as follows: "She <br />suggested including some type of sound control, specifically a berming, in addition to the <br />landscaping." <br />Commissioner Barker amended page 21, paragraph 2, to add the following sentence: "She <br />commented that each City Council member appointed a person to the Committee in addition to <br />four developers that were added arbitrarily as voting members." <br />Chair Cooper amended page 21, paragraph 5, sentence 1, to read as follows: "He stated that <br />owners of that property have the right to use the land in any manner consistent with zoning, <br />noting that just because the residents group together and state how they want the land to be used <br />does not mean they will get what they want." <br />Judy Symcox, 1450 Groth Circle, amended page 18, paragraph 5, to read as follows: "Judy <br />Symcox, 1450 Groth Circle, said her neighborhood which is located at the Valley entrance to <br />Danbury Park has not been considered in the plan. She stated that she is speaking on behalf of <br />Danbury Park residents. She is not opposed to additional residential communities in the areas, as <br />long as they are not subsidized homes. Her main concern is with the arterial streets. She further <br />stated that when she purchased in Pleasanton Meadows 24 years ago, everyone knew Las Positas <br />would eventually go through to Livermore. Then Pleasanton Councils and Commissions made <br />deals along the way to block Las Positas in exchange for the new improved Stoneridge Drive <br />plan to the east. She stated that there is an ethical duty to keep that agreement with the people. <br />She further stated that when she purchased in Danbury Park 13 years ago, Valley Avenue did not <br />go through. Valley Avenue is now the only arterial street to carry east/west traffic. She feels <br />that traffic on Valley can only be eased when the agreement to open Stoneridge Drive is <br />honored. She further reported that Danbury Park children must cross Valley to attend Alisal <br />school. She suggests than an east/west arterial street study be done before there is any further <br />study of the general plan and specific plan. Chair Cooper noted that a study of the general plan <br />and the specific plan would include a street study.
