Chair Cooper amended page 11, pazagraph 1, sentence 2, to read as follows: "The Commission agreed,
and Chair Cooper suggested that staff invite him to an upcoming meeting."
Mr. Cordtz addressed the Commission with regard to the amendment made to the January 28, 1998,
Minutes by Commissioner Dove relating to the transportation fees. He first wanted to confirm whether
Commissioner Dove's comments were tape recorded at the previous meeting, and Chair Cooper advised
him that they were. Mr. Cordtz stated the he took exception to the fact that the Minutes made it appear
as though he provided inaccurate information to the Commission regarding transportation fees. He
further stated that he has documentation that the increased fees were proposed and the information was
correct on January 14, 1998 when he addressed the Commission on the issue. He stated that he was
further offended by the word "dispazage" that was included in Mr. Dove's amendment. Commissioner
Dove responded stating that following the January 14, 1998, meeting he spoke with Bill van Gelder, at
which time the information had changed. He further stated that the word "disparage" should be
"dispazity".
Commissioner Barker advised Mr. Cordtz that during the January 14, 1998, meeting the Commission
expressed concern with the information he had presented relating to an increase in transportation fees.
Therefore, Commissioner Dove, volunteered to get more information on the issue and report back to the
Commission. Commissioner Barker conocurred with Mr. Cordtz and stated his recommendation should
be in the "New Business" section of the Minutes since he was providing follow-up information and not
actually making a correction to Mr. Cordtz' comments in the minutes.
Chair Cooper stated that he actually suggested that Commissioner Dove's comments be included with
- the amendments to the minutes and apologized, stating that he also feels they should have been put
under the "Communications" section. He further acknowledged that the information regarding the
increase in transportation fees was accurate as reported by Mr. Cordtz on January 14, 1998, but had
changed by the time Commissioner Dove spoke with Bill van Gelder following the meeting. Chair
Cooper also assured Mr. Cordtz that the typographical error would be corrected and the word
"disparage" would be changed to "dispazity". He, therefore, requested that Commissioner Dove's
comments be moved to the "Communications" section and be amended as follows: "Commissioner
Dove noted for the record that following the January 14, 1998, meeting he spoke with Bill van Gelder
regarding the comments made by Mr. Cordtz relating to ticketing prices and found that there is now no
disparity on the tickets at all."
3.
