Emergency I.ledical Services Agreement <br /> Page 2 <br /> <br />6. The CITY shall make reasonable efforts to assist the COUNTY in <br /> <br /> collection of pertinent statistical data regarding the CITY'S responses to <br /> medical emergencies. The COUNTY shall make reasonable efforts to assist the <br /> CITY in collection of pertinent statistical data regarding ambulance responses <br /> to medical emergencies. <br /> <br />7. The COUNTY shall reimburse the CITY up to the maximum amount shown in <br /> <br />"Exhibit A" for EMT-I and related medical training of first responder <br />personnel and for purchase and maintenance of non-consumable medical equipment <br />approved by the COUNTY for use by first responders. However, expenditures for <br />consumable medical supplies or for wages or benefits paid first responder <br />personnel shall not be eligible for reimbursement. <br /> <br />8. The CITY shall submit claims for payment to the COUNTY no later than <br /> <br />sixty (60) days following the end of the fiscal year in which the expenditure <br />was incurred. Such claims shall be accompanied by supporting documentation as <br />may be reasonably required by the COUNTY. The COUNTY shall reimburse the CITY <br />within sixty (60) days of receipt of CITY'S claim for payment. <br /> <br />9. The CITY agrees to indemnify and to save and hold harmless the COUNTY <br /> <br />and its officers and employees from and against all claims, costs, demands, <br />causes of action, suits, losses, expenses, or other detriment or liability <br />arising from or out of CITY'S performance of this Agreement. The COUNTY <br />agrees to indemnify and to save and hold harmless the CITY and its officers <br />and employees from and against all claims, costs, demands, causes of action, <br />suits, losses, expenses, or other detriment or liability arising from or out <br />of COUNTY'S performance of this Agreement. <br /> <br />10. This Agreement may be modified in writing by mutual consent of the <br /> <br />parties hereto. <br /> <br />11. This Agreement may be terminated on June 30 of any year by either <br /> <br />party 'for any reason such party shall determine that such termination is in <br />its best interest. Written notice of termination shall be given prior to <br />P~arch 1. <br /> <br />12.
