competitive bidding process for each project, as each TIA request for proposal will be
sent to the three consultants for both cost estimates and timelines.
City staff advertised a Request for Proposal for the on call transportation consultant
services in July of 2008. Staff received fifteen proposals from qualified consultants.
Hexagon Transportation Consultants, Kimley-Horn and Associates and Fehr & Peers
provided the best proposals. The consultants' references have been contacted and all
provided favorable opinions and recommendations. Both Kimley-Horn and Fehr &
Peers have worked for the City on numerous projects and Hexagon, while not having
previously worked for the City, is awell-established traffic engineering firm with a large
amount of on call and TIA experience.
Submitted by:
~~~
Rob Wilson
Public Works Director
Fiscal Review:
p~
David P.
