Hexagon frequently prepares plan sets, but also provides support services for civil engineering firms
with special traffic engineering-related design challenges. Our design work is prepared under the direction
of both Registered Traffic Engineers and Registered Civil Engineers in the State of California.
Designs are prepared in conformance with the most current requirements of: the Federal Highway
Administration manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, Americans With Disabilities Act, Caltrans
Highway Design Manual, and the WATCH manual. We work directly with the presiding governmental agency
on an informal basis to insure that plan submittals are as complete as possible and also are in conformance
with local design requirements and specifications. Design plans can be prepared in either Metric or English
units in a variety of standard formats. We are proficient in both MicroStation and AutoCAD. Final design
products typically include: mylar plan sets, electronic plan sets, plan specifications, and an engineer's cost
estimate.
Hexagon staff has successfully completed hundreds of design projects for many different public agencies
and private clients. For this reason, our designs can be produced with minimal lead-time and with a high
degree of accuracy and completeness. Our collective experience includes design, management of contracts
for design and construction, and the operation and maintenance of traffic signals in the field. This breadth of
experience pays dividends to our clients by minimizing construction change orders, reducing energy
demands and operating costs, and providing for convenient ongoing system maintenance.
Where Civil Engineering experience is required, Hexagon will rely on Bellecci & Associates, Inc. Belleci's staff
of engineers and surveyors has an average of 14 years of experience designing and surveying for
subdivisions, public works, CalTrans, site development and underground utilities in conformance with city,
county, and state standards. Bellecci & Associates has specifically targeted and maintained senior level
professionals that have practical civil experience and outstanding AutoCAD skills.
Bellecci & Associates Design Experience
Civic Plaza
San Jose, California
Client: Peter C;eraghty
San.l~se Redevelopment: Agency
2130 East Santa Clara St.
San Jose, CA 957.2:-1
140E1535.350~
Bellecci performed the land surveying, utility coordination, and
schematic design components of this project under our On-Call
agreement with San Jose Redevelopment Agency.
