10
THE CITY OF
CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT
PL£~S~4NTONo
September 16, 2008
Public Works Department
TITLE: ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS FOR TRACT 7706
(KIMBERLY COMMONS)
SUMMARY
Tract 7706 created four single-family detached residential lots and a duet (2 single
family attached homes) on a fifth lot. The property is located at the junction of Peters
Avenue and St. John Street at the southwest corner. The public improvements for this
subdivision are complete and ready for formal acceptance by the City.
RECOMMENDATION
1. Accept for normal maintenance the public improvements for Tract 7706, Kimberly
Commons, listed below.
2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT
Most of the public improvements along Peters Avenue and St. John Street already
existed at the time the subdivision was proposed. Consequently, the only new
maintenance cost associated with this development is the new sanitary sewer in Peters
Avenue. Most of the other existing surface improvements along the frontage of Peters
Avenue and St. John Street were reconstructed as part of this development. As a result,
some of the City's maintenance will actually be deferred because of these
improvements.
