a) Eligible Persons. The City's Pleasanton Pazatransit Service (PPS) provides door-to- <br />door, shazed ride service for eligible Pleasanton and Sunol residents, as well as <br />residents of unincorporated Alameda County who aze within the City's sphere of <br />influence. Eligible persons aze: <br />i. Persons who live in Pleasanton, Sunol and unincorporated portions of Alameda <br />County within the City's sphere of influence, who aze 60 yeazs of age or older; <br />or <br />ii. Persons who live in Pleasanton, Sunol and unincorporated portions of Alameda <br />County within the City's sphere of influence, who aze between the ages 18 to 59 <br />years old and aze eligible for pazatransit service under the ADA. <br />b) Non-Eligible Persons. No person under the age of 18 is allowed on a PPS vehicle, <br />nor is any person under 60 yeazs of age not meeting the eligibility requirements as <br />determined by the ADA Eligibility Determination Process. <br />c) Personal Care Attendants (PCA) and Companions. Should a PPS eligible person <br />require a PCA, the PCA must be over the age of 18 and may ride free of change. <br />Should a PPS eligible person require additional Companions, and should space be <br />available, the additional Companions will be charged full fare. <br />d) Service Area. PPS currently provides service to qualified persons needing <br />transportation to areas within the Pleasanton city limits, and to unincorporated <br />portions of Alameda County within the City's sphere of influence, as well as to the <br />San Ramon Regional Medical Center in San Ramon, the Veterans Administration in <br />Livermore, the Valley Memorial Hospital in Livermore, the medical azea on <br />Concannon Blvd. in Livermore, Kaiser on Las Positas Road in Livermore, Las <br />Positas College in Livermore and Hacienda Crossings movie theatre in Dublin. <br />i. The service azeas are subject to change based on City staff assessment, and such <br />changes would not require LAVTA approval, but shall be communicated to <br />LAVTA in a timely manner. <br />e) Scheduline. PPS accepts reservations for rides up to fourteen (14) days in advance. <br />Reservations are taken Monday -Friday, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. PPS is not able <br />to take same-day reservations. <br />4. Coordination of Services. <br />a) Persons Under 18 Yeazs of A¢e. ADA certified persons under 18 yeazs old shall be <br />referred to LAVTA's Wheels Dial-A-Ride for service. The parties acknowledge that <br />the City's PPS does not serve persons under 18 yeazs of age, whether an ADA <br />certified person, or a PCA or companion of a PPS eligible person. <br />Page 3 of 5 <br />unon.i <br />
