April 25, 1985 <br />Page One <br /> <br /> We are pleased to present the following proposal outlining our <br /> mechanical engineering design services for the Fire Station <br /> modifications at Pleasanton, California. <br /> <br /> GENERAL SCOPE <br /> <br /> The general scope of our work for this project is as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. Design of new heating, ventilating, and air conditioning <br /> (HVAC) system for the Fire Station to replace existing <br /> roof-top units. <br /> <br /> 2. Design of modifications to the building's other mechanical <br /> systems affected by ~the changes in the HVAC system. <br /> <br /> More specific details of included and excluded work and our <br /> assumptions are listed below: <br /> <br /> SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED <br /> <br /> We propose to provide the mechanical design services as outlined <br /> below: <br /> <br /> PHASE I - CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS <br /> <br /> 1. Preliminary meeting and survey of existing facilities. <br /> 2. Demolition drawings. <br /> 3. HVAC load calculation. <br /> 4. New equipment selection. <br /> 5. Working drawings with general scope as follows: <br /> <br /> a. Equipment schedules and legends. <br /> b. Floor plans showing mechanical system layout. <br /> c. Roof plan, sections and details. <br /> d. Wiring and control diagrams. <br /> <br /> 6o Specifications. <br /> <br /> PHASE II - CONSTRUCTION OBSERVATION <br /> <br /> 1. Assist in selection of bidders. <br /> 2. Assist in selection of contractor. <br /> 3. Review submittals. <br /> 4. Limited job site observation (three trips) plus one final <br /> job site observation to develop punch list. <br /> 5. Review operation and maintenance manuals. <br /> <br /> <br />
