IN THE AMOUNT OF $39,980 TO PREPARE A <br />DESIGN ALTERNATIVES ANALYSIS REPORT FOR THE I-880 / BERNAL <br />AVENUE INTERCHANGE <br />SUMMARY <br />A detailed analysis of the I-680 / Bernal Avenue Interchange is needed to study various <br />design alternatives and their ability to operate at acceptable levels of service for <br />projected future traffic volumes. This report will focus on potential interchange <br />modifications required to meet future traffic demand, as well as conduct a preliminary <br />feasibility of construction. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve the contract with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. to prepare a design <br />alternatives analysis report for the I-680 / Bernal Avenue Interchange for the not <br />to exceed amount of $39,960. <br />2. Authorize the City Manager to execute the attached contract. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />The report will be funded by CIP No. 005068, the Bernal and I-680 Interchange Project. <br />The current balance of the CIP budget is $1,143,616. <br />
