Section 4: The City Council of the City of Pleasanton urges the <br /> California State Legislature to adopt a five cent gas <br /> tax and a constitutional amendment for local financing <br /> in order to provide long-term assurance that the <br /> public's investment in transportation systems will be <br /> protected and improved where necessary. <br /> <br />Section 5: Copies of this resolution shall be provided to the <br /> Governor of the State of California, the members of the <br /> Senate and Assembly Transportation Committees, other <br /> legislators representing the City of Pleasanton and <br /> other interested public and private individuals and <br /> groups as may be appropriate. <br /> <br />Section 6: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED MARCH 26, 1985 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Mohr, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: Councilmembers - Butler and Wood <br />ABSENT: None w°ouN~~~R.~R~~ <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> CER, MAYOR <br /> <br /> C C1 <br /> <br />Peter D.
