21 <br />THE CITY OF <br />I' -~- ~"' CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />~L£~S~4NTONo <br />August 19, 2008 <br />Public Works Department <br />TITLE: DIRECT STAFF TO AMEND THE REIMBURSEMENT AGREEMENT FOR <br />FINAL DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION, I-580 FALCON ROAD/EL CHARRO <br />ROAD INTERCHANGE MODIFICATIONS <br />SUMMARY <br />The design for the new I-580 Fallon Road/EI Charro Road Interchange is complete, and <br />construction has started on the project. The Reimbursement Agreement for Final <br />Design & Construction I-580 Fallon Road/EI Charro Road Interchange Modifications <br />(Reimbursement Agreement), dated May 6, 2003, establishes the responsibilities for the <br />costs of project design and construction for the Cities of Pleasanton and Dublin. The <br />design costs to be paid by the City of Pleasanton are capped by that agreement at <br />$202,671; however, the actual cost for the design of Pleasanton's portion of the work is <br />$322,962. The agreement needs to be amended to reflect the actual cost of the design <br />which directly benefits Pleasanton. This will increase the amount of reimbursement by <br />Pleasanton to Dublin an additional $120,291. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Direct staff to amend the Reimbursement Agreement to increase the amount of the <br />Pleasanton portion for the project design cost to $322,962, and authorize the City <br />Manager to execute the amendment. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />The additional funding of $120,291 will be allocated from the Stoneridge Drive Specific <br />Plan fees. <br />
