The sign should be decorative, suitable for the park's location at a <br />main entry into the downtown azea. <br />The name "Vervais" and its historical significance should be displayed in stamped <br />concrete or on a plaque embedded in concrete. <br />A sign should be installed to indicate the connection to the creek trail at the <br />Arroyo del Valle. <br />A sign should briefly describe the Arroyo del Valle, its source, habitat value, and <br />recreational/educational value. <br />A stop or caution sign should be provided at the entrance/exit to the pazking lot. <br />Signage should include direction and information signs for the downtown area <br />and trails. <br />ENTRY TO DOWNTOWN <br />Design elements of Arroyo Green at Main should be coordinated with those <br />proposed for the southern end of Main St., recognizing each as a feature entrance to <br />the historic downtown. <br />LIGHTING <br />Plaza and parking areas in the park should be illuminaced at an average level of <br />1 footcandle minimum at the ground. <br />The bus shelter should be lighted. <br />PARKING <br />Perpendiculaz pazking, per City standards (including stall dimensions, aisle width, <br />back-up aeeas, striping, turning radii, ADA parking requirements, etc.). Parking <br />should include sufficient ADA-compatible parking. <br />MATER 1 A L Vehicular asphalt paving. <br />PLANT 1 N G <br />All planting in the park should be irrigated by a permanent automatic irrigation <br />system. <br />Planting at the plaza, lawn, and parking aeeas should be appropriate to an urban <br />park setting.
