The sign should be decorative, suitable for the park's location at a main entry into the downtown azea. The name "Vervais" and its historical significance should be displayed in stamped concrete or on a plaque embedded in concrete. A sign should be installed to indicate the connection to the creek trail at the Arroyo del Valle. A sign should briefly describe the Arroyo del Valle, its source, habitat value, and recreational/educational value. A stop or caution sign should be provided at the entrance/exit to the pazking lot. Signage should include direction and information signs for the downtown area and trails. ENTRY TO DOWNTOWN Design elements of Arroyo Green at Main should be coordinated with those proposed for the southern end of Main St., recognizing each as a feature entrance to the historic downtown. LIGHTING Plaza and parking areas in the park should be illuminaced at an average level of 1 footcandle minimum at the ground. The bus shelter should be lighted. PARKING Perpendiculaz pazking, per City standards (including stall dimensions, aisle width, back-up aeeas, striping, turning radii, ADA parking requirements, etc.). Parking should include sufficient ADA-compatible parking. MATER 1 A L Vehicular asphalt paving. PLANT 1 N G All planting in the park should be irrigated by a permanent automatic irrigation system. Planting at the plaza, lawn, and parking aeeas should be appropriate to an urban park setting.
