reports, documents, testimony, and recommendations; and WHEREAS, an Environmental Impact Report was prepared for GP- 85-9, the Proposed General Plan, and on September 16, 1986 a resolution accepting the Environmental Impact Report as complete and adequate was adopted; and WHEREAS, the EIR disclosed many possible significant adverse impacts, all of which could be mitigated and reduced to an insignificant level;p and WHEREAS, Negative Declarations were adopted for the proposed changes covered in GP-86-6, GP-86-7 and GP-86-3; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to make comprehensive changes to the Land Use Element of the General Plan at this time as one of the four times during the calendar year such changes may be made; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Approves the application of Douglas Safreno to amend the Land Use Element of the General Plan to change the land use designation of an approximately 9,500 sq. ft. site located at 4232 First Street from "High Density Residential" to "Commercial and Offices." (GP-86-6) Section 2: Approves the application of Pleasanton Joint School District to amend the Land Use Element of the General Plan to change the land use designation of an approximately 7.7 acre site located immediately north of Mission Hills Park from "Public and Institutional" to "Medium Density Residential." (GP-86-7) Section 3: Approves the application of the City of Pleasanton to amend the General Plan Land Use Element to change the land use designation of an approximately 4.8 acre site from "Low Density Residential" to "Open Space 9Parks and Recreation)" and of an approximately 4.5 acre site from "Open Space (Parks and Recreation)" to "Medium Density Residential," generally located in the area south and north of Mission Hills Park, respectively.
