reports, documents, testimony, and recommendations; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an Environmental Impact Report was prepared for GP- <br /> 85-9, the Proposed General Plan, and on <br /> September 16, 1986 a resolution accepting the <br /> Environmental Impact Report as complete and <br /> adequate was adopted; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the EIR disclosed many possible significant adverse <br /> impacts, all of which could be mitigated and <br /> reduced to an insignificant level;p and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Negative Declarations were adopted for the proposed <br /> changes covered in GP-86-6, GP-86-7 and GP-86-3; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to make comprehensive <br /> changes to the Land Use Element of the General Plan <br /> at this time as one of the four times during the <br /> calendar year such changes may be made; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the application of Douglas Safreno to <br /> amend the Land Use Element of the General Plan to <br /> change the land use designation of an approximately <br /> 9,500 sq. ft. site located at 4232 First Street <br /> from "High Density Residential" to "Commercial and <br /> Offices." (GP-86-6) <br /> <br />Section 2: Approves the application of Pleasanton Joint <br /> School District to amend the Land Use Element of <br /> the General Plan to change the land use designation <br /> of an approximately 7.7 acre site located <br /> immediately north of Mission Hills Park from <br /> "Public and Institutional" to "Medium Density <br /> Residential." (GP-86-7) <br /> <br />Section 3: Approves the application of the City of <br /> Pleasanton to amend the General Plan Land Use <br /> Element to change the land use designation of an <br /> approximately 4.8 acre site from "Low Density <br /> Residential" to "Open Space 9Parks and Recreation)" <br /> and of an approximately 4.5 acre site from "Open <br /> Space (Parks and Recreation)" to "Medium Density <br /> Residential," generally located in the area south <br /> and north of Mission Hills Park, respectively. <br /> (GP-86-3) <br /> <br /> <br />
