CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 86-445 RESOLUTION APPROVING A REVISION TO THE CITY'S GENERAL PLAN AND APPROVING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENTS TO THE LAND USE ET.RMENT FORT HE GENERAL PLAN CHANGING THE LAND USE DESIGNATIONS FOR VARIOUS AREAS THROUGHOUT THE PLANNING AREA WHEREAS, requests for General Plan changes to the Land Use Element of the General Plan have been made concerning various areas throughout the planning area, including the following: a. Application of Douglas Safreno to change the land use designation of approximately 9,500 sq. ft. at 4232 First Street from "High Density Residential" to "Commercial and Offices" (GP-86-6); b. Application of Pleasanton Joint School District to change the land use designation of approximately 7.7 acres located immediately north of Mission Hills Park from "Public and Institutional" to "Medium Density Residential" (GP-86-7); c. Application of the City of Pleasanton to change the land use designation of approximately 4.8 acres from "Low Density Residential" to "Open Space (Parks and Recreation) and 4.5 acres from "Open Space (Parks and Recreation)" to "Medium Density Residential" located generally in the area south and north of Mission Hills Park, respectively (GP-86-3); and WHEREAS, as a result of the recommendations of the Industrial General Plan Review Committee, the Residential Review Committee and joint meetings of the Planning Commission and City Council, a revised General Plan has been prepared (GP-85-9); and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held public hearings on all of these proposed changes and has made recommendations concerning same; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on September 16, 1986, at which time the City Council reviewed the proposed General Plan Amendments covering various areas throughout the planning area and considered all
