PLANNING COMMISSION
CITY OF PLEASANTON
RESOLUTION NO. 371
RESOLVED:
The Tentative Subdivision Map for Tract No. 2659, Rosepointe (Martin)
having come before this Commission as provided by Ordinance No. 358, is
hereby approved, with the following conditions and modifications; except
in the case of the valley gutter, which will be allowed with minimum
width of 6 feet, depth of 2 inches:
1. Street Geometries
a. The street intersecting Sunol Boulevard shall have 40 feet
property line radii.
b. Acceleration and deceleration lanes shall be provided on Sunol
Boulevard at the intersection.
•
c. The radius of the curve of Sunol Boulevard shall be 1000 feet
at the center line of Sunol Boulevard.
d. The approximate radius of each street curve shall be indicated
on the Tentative Map by the developer's engineer.
2. Structural Design of Streets
The pavement sections shall be designed by the developer's Soil
Engineer and be acceptable to the City Engineer.
3. Specifications and Standard Details
In accordance with Section 8.01 of Ordinance No. 358, it is requested
that the City Engineer be authorized to modify the City's existing
Standard Specifications and Detail in applying them to this Sub-
division in order to allow for mndern materials and methods as may
be required. Some specific recommendations for such modifications
are as follows;
a. Specifications for saver and water pipe should be modified to
allow newer type joints.
b. Specifications for street name signs should be modified to
require white reflectorized letters, block numbers on green coated
aluminum sheeting as previously approved by the Planning Commis-
sion and City Council.
c. Reference should be made to the 1960 Standard Specifications of
the California Division of Highways, rather than the 1954 edition,
particularly with reference to roadway materials.
4. Sanitary Sewer System
The 6" V.C.P. shown along lot lines in the northeast corner of the
subdivision and serving lots 23 and 24 should be eliminated in favo
of a line in Amber Lane.
Final approval of the sanitary sewer system should be withheld until
the developer has submitted engineering calculations and has demon-
strated to the satisfaction of the City Engineer that the proposed
system is adequate for the service area and generally meets the long -
range requirements for the sanitary sewer system in this area.
