The
property is currently zoned Planned Unit Development
(General Industrial); and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on March 11, 1981 at which
time all pertinent documents and testimony were
considered; and
WHEREAS, a petition was received by the Planning Commission
with approximately 1200 signatures stating "We the
undersigned are opposed to the construction of
high-rise buildings in the Pleasanton area. We are
not opposed to progress. We do feel that the pro-
posed construction at Stoneridge Drive and Hopyard
Road will negatively affect Pleasanton's image; of
a pleasant-town for families. It is not our desire
to become a valley of high-rise buildings;" and
WHEREAS, there are conditions imposed on the project which
mitigate any potentially significant adverse environ-
mental impacts.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING:
Section 1. The Planning Commission recommends approval of case
PUD-80-16 subject to the following conditions:
///
