PLANNING COMMISSION
CITY OF PLEASANTON
COUNTY OF ALAMEDA
STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION NO. 1973
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING ACCEPTANCE OF AN EIR
PREPARED FOR ALRED FROMM, CASE PUD-80-2
WHEREAS, Alfred Fromm has applied for zoning and development plan
approval for a 96 acre Planned Unit Development commercial/
industrial business park at the northeast corner of Bernal
Avenue and I-680, south of the Arroyo Del Valle which forms
the boundary between the Del Prado area of Pleasanton and
the subject site; and
WHEREAS, zoning for the property is "S" (Study) District; and
WHEREAS, an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) was prepared for
the Fromm property as well as property owned by San
Francisco Water Department totalling 102± acres; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on April 8, 1981 at which time
the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the
Environmental Impact Report (EIR); and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission reviewed the Environmental Impact
Report prepared for this property to determine if the
development of the Fromm property would have any significant
impacts on the environment, and if so, whether mitigation
measures or overriding considerations may be present.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING:
Section 1. The Planning Commission recommends adoption of the
EIR for the 102± acres and makes the following findings:
1. That the Environmental Impact Report prepared for
the subject development has been completed in
compliance with CEQA and State Guidelines;
2. That the Planning Commission has reviewed and
considered the information in the EIR;
3. That the project would have significant adverse
impacts on the environment pertaining to traffic,
soils, geology, hydrology and public services but
that conditions of approval of case PUD-80-2 would
reduce those impacts to insignificant levels; and
4. That there are several adverse impacts of the case
which are not mitigatible if the project is approved
or which remain significant despite the inclusion of
mitigation measures, i.e.: 1) permanent destruction
