PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 1988 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION AS PREPARED FOR STONESON DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION IN THEIR APPLICATION OF GP-81-2 WHEREAS, Stoneson Development Corporation has applied to change the General Plan land use designation of the 91.5± acre site located between I-580, the Stoneridge Mall Road, Stoneridge Drive and I-680 from "High Density Resi- dential", and "Open Space (Parks and Recreation)" and "Community Facilities (Schools)" to "Commercial and Offices," "High Density Residential" and "Open Space (Parks);" and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on May 13, 1981 at which time all public testimony and documents were considered; and WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66; and - WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of May 13, 1981, received the Initial Study and proposed Mitigated Nega- tive Declaration in a report from the Director of Planning and Community Development dated May 13, 1981 regarding the aforementioned project; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney of its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative Declaration and the determinations required,by Section 5.4 (e) of Resolution No. 77-66; and WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering the proposed Negative Declaration and Initial Study; and WHEREAS, the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the proposed environmental assessment, which had previously been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the public hearing on the aforementioned project; and WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of projects and preparation of Environmental Impact Reports as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports in order to determine if a Negative Declaration is appropriate for the project and what mitigation measures, if any, must be undertaken to ensure that the project will not have a significant impact upon the environment. ///
