PLANNING COMMISSION
CITY OF PLEASANTON
COUNTY OF ALAMEDA
STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION NO. 1800
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF PLEASANTON APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR
MCDONALD'S CORPORATION FILED UNDER UP-79-14
WHEREAS, McDonald's Corporation has applied for a conditional
use permit to allow the construction and operation of
a drive-in restaurant facility on a 1.6 acre site located
at the northeast intersection of Pimlico Drive and Santa
Rita Road. The site is zoned C-F (Freeway Commerc-al)
District; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on October 10, 1979 before the
Planning Commission, at which time all pertinent reports,
documents and testimony were reviewed.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Planning Commission approves UP-79-14 subject to the
following conditions because all of the required findings
could be made.
Findings:
A. That the proposed location of the conditional use
is in accord with the objectives of this chapter
and the purposes of the district in which the site
is located.
B. That the proposed location of the conditional use
and the conditions under which it would be operated
or maintained will not be detrimental to the public
health, safety or welfare or be materially injurious
to properties or improvements in the vicinity.
C. That the proposed conditional use will comply with
each of the applicable provisions of this chapter.
Conditions:
1. That the development be substantially as shown on the
site plan, elevations and landscape plan, Exhibit A,
on file with the Planning Division, except that the
westernmost driveway be right-turn in and out only.
2. That the developer pay for the striping of the Santa
Rita Road/Pimlico Drive intersection to the extent
necessary to accommodate traffic generated by the
proposed development; this would include the future
striping of the southbound Santa Rita Road left-turn
lane if such a feature is found to be necessary.
