PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1810 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A MITIGATED NEGATIVE <br />DECLARATION FOR FLYING J OIL COMPANY FILED <br />UNDER PUD-79-10 <br />WHEREAS, Flying J Oil Company has applied for a planned unit <br />development (Industrial and Commercial) zoning for the <br />60 acre site located immediately south of Johnson <br />Drive and about 700 ft, west of Hopyard Road and for <br />development plan approval for a motel proposed to be <br />located on the northwesterly approximately 8 acres <br />of the site. The property is zoned PUD (Planned <br />Unit Development-Industrial) District. <br />WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant <br />to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures <br />adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton <br />by Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of October 10, <br />1979 received the Initial Study and proposed Negative <br />Declaration in a report from the Director of Planning <br />_ and Community Development dated October 1, 1979 regarding <br />the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney <br />of its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative <br />Declaration and the determinations required by Section <br />5.4(e) of Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her <br />copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering <br />the proposed Negative Declaration and Initial Study; and <br />WHEREAS, the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the <br />proposed environmental assessment, which has previously <br />been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of <br />the public hearing on the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the <br />Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation <br />of projects and preparation of Environmental Impact Reports <br />as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations <br />and Environmental Impact Reports in order to determine <br />if a Negative Declaration is appropriate for the project <br />and what mitigation measures, if any, must be undertaken <br />to ensure that the project will not have a significant <br />" impact upon the environment. <br />
