PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORl`IIA RESOLUTION NO. 1893 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING THE ADOPTION OF THE DRAFT HOUSING ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN DATED APRIL 1980. WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has reviewed the Draft of the Revised Housing Element of the General Plan of the City of Pleasanton formulated pursuant to State Government Code Section 65302 and Stating Housing Element Guidelines; and WHEREAS, the purpose of the proposed Housing Element is to evaluate existing and projected community housing need and to offer a workable housing program to meet said need; and WHEREAS, public hearings were held on July 9, 1980 and July 16, 1980 at which time all public testimony and exhibits were reviewed; and WHEREAS, a negative declaration of environmental impacts was also reviewed and recommended for approval for this Housing Element. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton recommends approval of the Draft Housing Element dated April 1980 subject to the following changes (additions are underlined and deletions are lined through): Page 9 (top of page) Multi-family housing consists of rental apartment projects, and mobile homes at any density and ownership housing consisting mainly of attached dwelling units in excess of eight dwelling units per gross acre. Page 10, Policy 4 .to maintain at least the existing amount of acreage of the area now planned for multi-family housing development within the community. Page 11, Implementation 1 To ensure that whenever a high density residential designated site is redesignated to a lower density or non-residential land use category an appropriate alternative location of equivalent or greater acreage shall be redesigned to high density residential classification o:i the General Plan.
