PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORl`IIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1893 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING THE ADOPTION OF <br />THE DRAFT HOUSING ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN <br />DATED APRIL 1980. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has reviewed the Draft of the <br />Revised Housing Element of the General Plan of the City <br />of Pleasanton formulated pursuant to State Government <br />Code Section 65302 and Stating Housing Element Guidelines; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the purpose of the proposed Housing Element is to evaluate <br />existing and projected community housing need and to <br />offer a workable housing program to meet said need; and <br />WHEREAS, public hearings were held on July 9, 1980 and July 16, <br />1980 at which time all public testimony and exhibits <br />were reviewed; and <br />WHEREAS, a negative declaration of environmental impacts was also <br />reviewed and recommended for approval for this Housing <br />Element. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton <br />recommends approval of the Draft Housing Element dated <br />April 1980 subject to the following changes (additions <br />are underlined and deletions are lined through): <br />Page 9 (top of page) <br />Multi-family housing consists of rental apartment projects, <br />and mobile homes at any density and ownership housing <br />consisting mainly of attached dwelling units in excess <br />of eight dwelling units per gross acre. <br />Page 10, Policy 4 <br />.to maintain at least the existing amount of acreage <br />of the area now planned for multi-family housing <br />development within the community. <br />Page 11, Implementation 1 <br />To ensure that whenever a high density residential designated <br />site is redesignated to a lower density or non-residential <br />land use category an appropriate alternative location of <br />equivalent or greater acreage shall be redesigned to <br />high density residential classification o:i the General <br />Plan. <br />Page 22 (third paragraph) <br />No sites have a9-e€ yet been selected.... <br />
