PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON 'COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 1723 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON APPRQVING THE FILING OF A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR CA$TLEWOOD ENTERPRISES FILED UNDER GP-79-2. WHEREAS, Castlewood Enterprises has applied for a general plan amendment to change the land use designation of a 2.5 acre site located at the southeast quadrant of the junction of Junipexo Drive and Sunol Boulevard from "Public and InstitU~tional" to "Commercial and Offices" and "High Density residential;" and WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66' and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission at its meeting of March 14, 1979, received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration in a report from the Director of Planning and Community Development dated March. 2;-1979 regarding the afore- mentioned project; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised of its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative Declaration and the determinations required by Section 5.4 (e) of Resolution No. 77-66; and WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission. had before him/her copies of Resolutign No. 77-66 at the time of considering the proposed environmental assessment, which was previously published in "The Times," at the time of the public hearing on the aforementioned project; and WHEREAS, upon receipt of thq staff report and public input, the Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of the projects anc~ the preparation of Environmental Impact Reports as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports in order to determine if a Negative Declaration is appropriate for the project and what mitigation measures, if any, must be undertaken to ensure that the project will not have a significant impact ',upon the environment.
