PLANNING COMMISSION CLTY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 1732 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR GP-79-5 APPLICATION OF STONESON DEVELOPMENT CO. FOR A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT. WHEREAS, Stoneson Development Co. has applied for a General Plan Amendment to change the land use designation of a 91.5 acre site located at the southwest intersection of I-580 and I-680 from "High Density Residential", "Public and Institutional" and "Parks and Recreation" to "Commercial and Offices", "Public and Institutional", and "High Density Residential"; and WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of April 11, 1979 received the Initial Study and Proposed Mitigated Negative Declaration in a report from the Director of Planning and Community Development dated April 3, 1979 regarding the aformentioned project; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney of its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative Declaration and the determinations required by Section 5.4(e) of Resolution 77-66; and WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering the proposed Negative Declaration and Initial Study; and WHEREAS, the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the proposed invironmental assessment, which has previously been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the public hearing on the aforementioned project; and WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact Reports as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports in order to determine if a Negative Declaration is appropriate for the project and what mitigation measures, if any, must be undertaken to ensure that the project will not have a significant impact upon the environment.
