PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CLTY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1732 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION <br />FOR GP-79-5 APPLICATION OF STONESON DEVELOPMENT CO. FOR <br />A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT. <br />WHEREAS, Stoneson Development Co. has applied for a General Plan <br />Amendment to change the land use designation of a 91.5 <br />acre site located at the southwest intersection of I-580 <br />and I-680 from "High Density Residential", "Public and <br />Institutional" and "Parks and Recreation" to "Commercial <br />and Offices", "Public and Institutional", and "High <br />Density Residential"; and <br />WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done <br />pursuant to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and <br />Procedures adopted by the City Council of the City of <br />Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of April 11, 1979 <br />received the Initial Study and Proposed Mitigated <br />Negative Declaration in a report from the Director of <br />Planning and Community Development dated April 3, 1979 <br />regarding the aformentioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney <br />of its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed <br />Negative Declaration and the determinations required by <br />Section 5.4(e) of Resolution 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her <br />copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering <br />the proposed Negative Declaration and Initial Study; and <br />WHEREAS, the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the <br />proposed invironmental assessment, which has previously <br />been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of <br />the public hearing on the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the <br />Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation <br />of projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact <br />Reports as they pertain to requirements for Negative <br />Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports in order <br />to determine if a Negative Declaration is appropriate <br />for the project and what mitigation measures, if any, <br />must be undertaken to ensure that the project will not <br />have a significant impact upon the environment. <br />
