PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 1761 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT FILED UNDER GP-79-7, ART DUNKLEY. WHEREAS, Art Dunkley has applied for a general plan amendment to change the land use designation of a 6 acre parcel of land located at the southwest corner of Pico Avenue and Vineyard Avenue from "Parks and Recreation" to "Medium Density Residential" and the Planning Commission also recommended a change in the General Plan designation of the adjacent 10 acre parcel of land (located immediately easterly of the Mavis Drive, Ewing Drive, Rowell Lane residential area) from "Parks and Recreation" to another land use designation; and WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of July 11, 1979 received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration in a report from the Director of Planning and Community Development dated July 5, 1979 regarding the aforementioned project; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney of its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative Declaration and the determinations required by Section 5.4 (e) of Resolution No. 77-66; and WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the.time of considering the proposed environmental assessment, which has previously been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the public hearing on the aforementioned project; and WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of projects and preparation o£ Environmental Impact Reports as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports in order to determine if a Negative Declaration is appropriate for the project and
