PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1761 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION <br />FOR A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT FILED UNDER GP-79-7, <br />ART DUNKLEY. <br />WHEREAS, Art Dunkley has applied for a general plan amendment to <br />change the land use designation of a 6 acre parcel of <br />land located at the southwest corner of Pico Avenue and <br />Vineyard Avenue from "Parks and Recreation" to "Medium <br />Density Residential" and the Planning Commission also <br />recommended a change in the General Plan designation of <br />the adjacent 10 acre parcel of land (located immediately <br />easterly of the Mavis Drive, Ewing Drive, Rowell Lane <br />residential area) from "Parks and Recreation" to another <br />land use designation; and <br />WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant <br />to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures <br />adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton <br />by Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of July 11, 1979 <br />received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration <br />in a report from the Director of Planning and Community <br />Development dated July 5, 1979 regarding the aforementioned <br />project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney <br />of its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative <br />Declaration and the determinations required by Section <br />5.4 (e) of Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her <br />copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the.time of considering <br />the proposed environmental assessment, which has previously <br />been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of <br />the public hearing on the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the <br />Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation <br />of projects and preparation o£ Environmental Impact Reports <br />as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations <br />and Environmental Impact Reports in order to determine if <br />a Negative Declaration is appropriate for the project and <br />
