PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 1784 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE TAUBMAN COMPANY FILED UNDER GP-79-15. WHEREAS, The Taubman Company, Inc. has applied for an amendment to the General Plan which would change the land use designation of the property located on the northeast corner of Foothill Road and Stoneridge Drive from "Public and Institutional" (Planned BART station) to "Commercial and Offices;" and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission may recommend the above change or any other designation it deems appropriate; and WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of August 8, 1979 received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration - in a report from the Director of Planning and Community Development dated August 1, 1979 regarding the aforementioned project; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney of its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative Declaration and the determinations required by Section 5.4(e) of Resolution No. 77-66; and WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering the proposed Negative Declaration and Initial Study; and WHEREAS, the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the proposed environmental assessment, which has previously been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the public hearing on the aforementioned project; and WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the .evaluation of projects and preparation of Environmental Impact Reports as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports in order to determine if a Negative Declaration is appropriate for the project and what mitigation measures, if any, must be undertaken to ensure that the project will not have a significant impact upon the environment.
