PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANT ON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 1618 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON MAKING THE FINDING THAT AN ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT WOULD NEED TO BE PREPARED FOR THE PROJECT FILED UNDER GP-78-2. WHEREAS, Van Bokkelen-Cole Company applied for a general plan amendment for a 3.8 acre parcel located on the east side of Santa Rita Road immediately north of the Arroyo Mocho; and WHEREAS, Van Bokkelen-Code Company proposes to amend the plan from High Density Residential to Commercial and Offices; and WHEREAS, in conjunction with this General Plan Amendment, an Initial Study was done pursuant to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of March 8, 1978, received an Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration - in a report from the Director of Planning and Community Development dated February 28, 1978, regarding the afore- mentioned project; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney of its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative Declaration and the determinations required by Section 5.4(e) of Resolution No. 77-66; and WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering the pro- posed environmental assessment, which has previously been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the public hearing on the aforementioned project; and WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's Guidelines and processing procedures for the evaluation of projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact Reports as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports in order to determine if a Negative Declaration is appropriate for the project and what mitigation measures must be undertaken to ensure that the project will not have a significant impact upon the environ- ment.
