PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITX OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1635 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION <br />FOR UP-78-6, WICKLAND OIL COMPANY. <br />WHEREAS, Wickland Oil Company has applied for approval to operate a <br />self-serve service station on the northwest corner of the <br />intersection of Hopyard Road and Johnson Industrial Drive; <br />zoning for the property is I-G (General Industrial) District; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant <br />to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted <br />by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution <br />No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of April 12, 1978 <br />received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration <br />in a report form the Director of Community Development dated, <br />April 12, 1978, regarding the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney <br />of its responsbilities in reviewing the proposed Negative <br />Declaration and the determinations required by Section 5.4 (e) <br />of Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him copies <br />of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering the <br />proposed Negative Declaration and Initial Study; and <br />WHEREAS, the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the <br />proposed environmental assessment, which has previously been <br />published in the "Pleasanton Times," at the time of the <br />public hearing on the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the <br />Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of <br />projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact Reports <br />as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations <br />and Environmental Impact Reports in order to determine if a <br />Negative Declaration is appropriate for the project and what <br />mitigation measures, if any, must be undertaken to ensure <br />that the project will not have a significant impact upon <br />the environment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />
