SEWER RATES, FEES, AND CHARGES All Regional (DSRSD) Sewer Rates and Charges shown in Section "A" below become effective July 1, 2008 and shall be automatically adjusted effective each Juy 1 in the manner described in the following subparagraph without further Council action or review. The City Manager is authorized and directed to adjust those Regional Sewer Rates and Charges by the percentage by which the most recent Consumer Price Index -All Urban Consumers for the San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose, CA area available as of April 30 has increased (or decreased) in relation to the most recent corresponding Consumer Price Index available the preceding April 30. The adjusted sewer rates and charges will be avaialble on DSRSD's web site by May 31 of each year. Unless otherwise acted upon by Ciry council, the amount of the sewer user rates and charges will be automatically re-calculated on April 30 and the user charges shall be adjusted effective July 1 of each subsequent year in the manner described in the preceding subparagraph. These rates, by contract with the City of Livermore, change when the City of Livermore sewer fees are adjusted. This amount shown in the table above for'Ruby Hill" includes the City of Livermore sewer (ee and a City charge for adminishation. The commercial accounts are billed based on water consumption which varies by season and type of usage. The commercial rates shall match City of Livermore cost for said charges. Discounts: a. Senior Citizens 62 years or older who provide evidence of age shall be given a 20% reduction in rates for owner-occupied residence use only and for one unit only. b. Customers who qualify for low income utility discounts through the LIRA, SSI, or SDI programs from PG&E or cable television shall be given a 30% reduction in rates. Verification will be by submitting a copy of a bill from either utility showing the discount. c. Discounts shall not be additive.
