April 8, x(308 <br />T0: City of Pleasanton <br />Planning Dept. <br />Attn: Ms. Amos <br />FROM: Mary Greene 84Fi-2664 <br />386 Sycamore Rd. <br />Pleasanton, Ca. 94866 <br />Re: PCUP-205 Roches <br />481 Sycamore Rd. r''.,'a!~ ? )~)~ <br />Pleasanton, Ca. <br />Ii~ATER TANK d~L,~'~ai'~i~v~ ti~~'~: <br />We have Iived aoross the street from the quaint, farm setting <br />of 481 Sycamore Rd. for more than 30 yrs. <br />All this time the property has been maintain the best it could <br />and when the Roeha's bought it - transformed all of it for a <br />very lovely and appealing property cost of the work done by them. <br />I have been fri4nds with all the geople that have lived there - <br />visiting -and when Jenny showed me the new water tank - to <br />replace the old wooden one - it was a safer, cleaner alternative <br />to the old one. <br />We also have a-water tank - a necessity for availabe water for <br />livestock and water supply when water footage greatly reduces in <br />the summer months. <br />There can be man~- problee dealing with walla - pipe breakage - <br />earthquake damage - water presavation is essentials <br />It sakes a good paint to have the tank as olose to the well <br />as possible - power to maintain the tank from the well system <br />should'd take as long. <br />If neighbors don't like the appearance - trees could be planted by <br />then - on their own property to mediate the issue sinoe.the tank <br />was the for more than 50 yrs. <br />1'he new tank is muoh safer ~» wooden tanks had a door on the top <br />that could be reached by children diming the iron belts that <br />surrounded the structure. the top was necessary to gunge water <br />storage. <br />I sincerely feel that Mrs. Roches has greatly tried to appease <br />the neighbors on a natter that shouldn~t have reached Planning. <br />I wish that more people knew of the history of our area - neighbors <br />supported each other - I aa~ sorry that feeling died with the <br />North Sycamore Plan - it truly was a MAYI3URRY experience. <br />Mrs. Roche needs your support on this Important matter. <br />incerly & T~you <br />
