~,
April ~, 208
Cherie Keane
417 Sycamore ltd
Pleasanton, CA 94566
_-- ___: _Jann -~RQCfi~'s_l~te~age_
City Council Members;
1VIy niarne is Cherie Keane artd I Iive 3 houses west of Jenny Roche. To enter my
driveway I must make a right hand tug izt front of Jenny's house. In fact, for a short
distance we share a coxnman private drive.
Prior to Jatuay purchasing her home, the property was in cl,isrepair. The piece of land
direc#ly adjacent to the private drive was always filled with weeds and was quite
1Q~equently used as ~fty xnaintcnance parking and whoever parking. In fact, the entire
property showed it's vast age and lack of care.
Since Jenny. has beexx my ncighbox the ta'ansforrnation between then and notiv is
ixrunneasurable. ],vot only has she completely rebuilt the home but she has spared no
expense landscaping her property. She has taken great care in tastefully beautifying not
only her property but that of the neighborhood as well. As a close neighbor I am very
gratoful for hei hard work and dedication to detail.
Una of the improvements to the property was replacing the old wooden tank with $ new
one. In doing so the tank moved, but not enough to make the controversy it has become.
As I am sure the council knows quite well the ITappy Valley, as beautiful as it is; camas
with rnany'issues. Conventional homes try to live next to farms and ranches; animals.
~'ension grows as two different lifestyles try to live togethex. In every eras, but I believe
in the Nappy Valley especially, people need to be more tolerant. If one is going to move
next door to a property tk~at has animals, no eity water ctc. then things like water tanks
will exist ota the property.
.~4,s far ag I am concerned, the new water tank js an improvement to tlae property and does
not adversely a#3fect the neighbors in its rev spot. Concerning Diamond Court; the water
tank became more visible with the replacement of the old tivooden fence with a wire
fence, net with the movement ofthe water tank. If the water tank was that muc1~ of a
concern Diamaztd Court should have rcpla, ced the fence with a like wooden one.
~'hax~k you,
Cherie Keane
