12 <br />THE CITY OF <br />pL~E~S~4NTONo CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />1 <br />June 17, 2008 <br />Public Works Department <br />TITLE: APPROVAL OF A CONSULTANT AGREEMENT WITH FEHR AND PEERS <br />IN THE AMOUNT OF $69,650 TO PREPARE A TRAFFIC IMPACT STUDY <br />FOR THE PLEASANTON GATEWAY PROJECT <br />SUMMARY <br />The Pleasanton Gateway Retail/Office Plaza project is a proposed mixed use <br />development project located on the southwest corner of Bernal Avenue and Valley <br />Avenue. The project requires a traffic study to investigate near-term and long-term <br />project impacts. Staff is proposing entering into a consultant agreement with Fehr and <br />Peers in the amount of $69,650 to prepare the traffic impact study. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve the contract with Fehr & Peers to prepare a traffic impact study for the <br />Pleasanton Gateway Project for the not-to-exceed amount of $69,650. <br />2. Authorize the City Manager to execute the attached contract and to approve <br />amendments funded by the developer as needed to complete the project. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />There is no financial impact as a result of this recommendation. The developer (South <br />Bay Development Company) will fund the traffic impact study preparation. <br />
