Landscaping and Lighting District 1994-1, Oak Tree Farm
Maintenance in this District includes the open space areas, entry features, firebreaks,
trees, shrubbery, groundcover and irrigation systems. The assessment for the year for
District 1994-1 (Oak Tree Farm) will remain at $473.66 per parcel per year. With a total
of 42 parcels in the District (one of these is a city-owned parcel, a sewer lift station), this
year's total assessment will be $19,885.81. This amount will be sufficient to fund the
maintenance of all common areas including water and electrical costs, County
assessment fees, City administration fees and sets aside in a replacement fund sufficient
reserves for the long-term replacement of plantings, irrigation systems, fencing, entry
signage and other District improvements.
The City bid the District maintenance project in June 2005. The low responsive bidder
was Del Conte's Landscaping, Inc. of Fremont. The contractor performed the specified
maintenance work under an annual contract in 2005-06, and 2006-07; however, the
contractor declined to sign the renewal contract for 2007-08. Therefore, the City rebid
the Landscaping and Lighting Districts in October 2007, and received five (5) bids. The
low responsive bidder was Vista Grande Landscape Management of Livermore with a
bid of $6,900 for the annual maintenance of the Oak Tree Farm District. To date, the
contractor has performed all of the specified maintenance work in a satisfactory
manner.
Landscaping and Lightina District 1995-1, Moller Ranch
Maintenance in this District includes open space areas, entry features, firebreaks, trees,
shrubbery, groundcover and irrigation systems. The assessment for the coming year for
District 1995-1 (Moller Ranch) will remain at $570.06 per parcel per year. With a total of
101 parcels in the District (two of these are City-owned parcels, the Moller Ranch water
tank and a staging area for Pleasanton Ridge), this year's total assessment will be
$57,557. This amount will be sufficient to fund the maintenance of all common areas
including water and electrical costs, County assessment fees, City administration fees
and sets aside in a replacement fund sufficient reserves for the long-term replacement of
plantings, irrigation systems, fencing, and other District improvements.
The City bid the District Maintenance project in May 2006, and three (3) bids were
received.
