PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 1531 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON APPROVING A HOME OCCUPATION <br />PERMIT TO OPERATE AN AMBULANCE SERVICE FROM 2297 <br />TANAGER DRIVE. <br />WHEREAS; Tri-Cities Ambulance, Inc., applied for approval to con- <br />duct an ambulance service from a residence at 6264 Guyson <br />Court; and <br />WHEREAS, the City denied the request of Tri-Cities Ambulance to <br />establish said business at 6264 Guyson Court; and <br />WHEREAS, in conjunction with that denial, the Commission granted <br />applicant 90 days to vacate the residence; and <br />WHEREAS, Tri-Cities Ambulance, Inc., has since been evicted from <br />the resident effective July 1, 1977; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a special meeting on Juny 29, <br />1977, to consider relocation of the service at 2297 Tanager <br />Drive; and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on June 29, 1977, at which time <br />all pertinent maps, testimony and reports were reviewed by <br />the Planning Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, opposition was raised by residents in the vicinity that <br />there would be possible traffic safety and noise problems <br />and deterioration of property values occurring to the imme- <br />diate neighborhood; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, while cognizant of the objections <br />and concerns of residents in the neighborhood, made the <br />finding that such a service is vital to the welfare of the <br />community; and <br />WHEREAS, under those circumstances, rather than deny the application, <br />they took the position that with the proper conditions <br />attached to approval of the application, the service would <br />become an acceptable addition to the neighborhood and would <br />not cause any traffic safety hazards, noise problems, or <br />deterioration of property values. <br />-1- <br />
