AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> Traffic Signal Maintenance <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT is entered into as of the 1st day of July, <br />1986 by and between the CITY OF PLEASANTON, a municipal <br />corporation (hereinafter referred to as "City" ) and SIGNAL <br />MAINTENANCE, INC. (hereinafter referred to as "Contractor"). <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Signal Maintenance, Inc. has represented it is <br />qualified to provide services to maintain traffic signal <br />facilities in good and workmanlike manner; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City wishes to retain Signal Maintenance, Inc. <br />to provide the above stated services; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree to the following: <br /> <br /> 1. Contractor's Services. Contractor agrees to provide on <br />behalf of the City all tools, equipment, apparatus, facilities, <br />labor, service and material, and perform all work necessary to <br />maintain traffic signal facilities in a good and workmanlike <br />manner. The location of said services shall be stated in the <br />List of Intersections, attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and <br />incorporated herein by this reference. The Contractor also <br />agrees to do the following: <br /> <br /> a. The Contractor shall inspect, clean, and adjust and <br /> make a routine monthly inspection of each controller unit. <br /> <br /> b. Contractor shall replace all lamps in all signals, <br /> using a thirty percent (30%) depletion period. Contractor <br /> agrees to use only standard traffic signal lamps, <br /> manufactured by General Electric Company, Sylvania Company, <br /> or other manufacturer approved by the City Engineer. <br /> <br /> c. Contractor shall replace or repair defective parts <br /> of the controller mechanism as the need arises. <br /> <br /> d. Contractor shall clean and polish all lenses and <br /> reflectors annually and at the same time, replace broken <br /> parts or change parts as necessary. <br /> <br /> e. Contractor shall maintain a twenty-four (24) hour <br /> per day emergency service for the replacement of burned out <br /> lamps or controller malfunctions. <br /> <br /> f. Contractor shall observe the traffic signals at <br /> other designated intersections for possible malfunctions <br /> during travel to and from locations of equipment service. <br /> <br /> - 1 - <br /> <br /> <br />
