Standard Conditions of Development <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />This item has been continued from numerous previous meetings in <br />order to allow the applicant an opportunity to finalize their <br />development plan. Final details have been worked out and now <br />Public Storage is seeking rezoning and development plan approval <br />for a four structure, one and three-story mini-storage facility, <br />consisting of 81,625 sq. ft. of floor area, on an approximately <br />1.45 acre site located at 3744/3768 Old Santa Rita Road. The <br />applicant is seeking a rezoning of the site from the Commercial <br />Service District to Planned Unit Development-Commercial District in <br />order to allow for the otherwise conditionally allowed use and to <br />accommodate the proposed project design. In addition, the <br />applicant is seeking approval for two on-site signs. <br /> <br />SITE LOCATION <br /> <br />The project site is located along the east side of Old Santa Rita <br />Road. The parcel is bordered on the south by a vehicular equipment <br />storage yard which has received Planning Commission approval for a <br />similar mini-storage proposal, on the north by an underdeveloped <br />property with some existing older apartment units, on the west by <br />single-story, multi-tenant commercial service buildings across Old <br />Santa Rita Road and on the east by Trammell-Crow's undeveloped <br />property zoned Central Commercial. <br /> <br /> - 1 - <br /> <br /> <br />
