EXHIBIT 1-A <br /> <br /> AMENDMENT NO. 1 <br /> STONERIDGE DRIVE INTERCHANGE ON 1-680 <br /> PLEASANTON, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> SCOPE OF PREDESIGN SERVICES <br /> <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> <br />The City of Pleasanton, through the North Pleasanton Improvement <br />District (NPID), is proposing to finance and construct major <br />improvements to the existing overcrossing of Interstate Route 680 <br />at Stoneridge Drive. The proposed improvements are: <br /> <br /> Modifying the existing overcrossing structure to <br /> provide one additional traffic lane on Stoneridge <br /> Drive. <br /> <br /> Constructing freeway ramps to connect Stoneridge <br /> Drive to 1-680 including bridge structures over the <br /> Alamo Canal. <br /> <br /> Constructing freeway auxiliary lanes on both sides <br /> of 1-680 from Stoneridge Drive to the 1-580/I-680 <br /> interchange. <br /> <br />Conceptual geometrics of the proposed improvements, developed in <br />previous studies and approved by Caltrans, shall be the basis for <br />this work effort. <br /> <br />The purpose of this AMENDMENT is to perform the necessary field <br />studies such as site surveying and mapping, geotechnical <br />investigation and foundation recommendations, utilities <br />reconnaissance; and preparation of right-of-way d6cuments for the <br />proposed improvements. <br /> <br />The following assumptions apply to the project: <br /> <br /> The resulting products will be subject to review by <br /> the City, Caltrans, and FHWA. <br /> <br /> Conceptual plans prepared by the City and Caltrans <br /> will be used as the basis for the project studies. <br /> Minor deviations are possible as necessitated by <br /> actual field conditions and final design <br /> considerations. <br /> <br /> - 1 - <br /> <br /> <br />
