Cit, Plea_san.ton <br /> S FF 12 <br /> REPORT <br /> <br /> March 18, 1986 !~ !,'~ <br /> <br /> HONORABLE CITY COUNCIL <br /> Pleasanton, California <br /> <br /> Review and Selection of Preferred Alignments and Authorization to <br /> Enter Into Contract With Bissell & Karn, Inc. for DeSign Services - <br /> Stoneridge Drive Extension (West Las Positas Boulevard to Santa <br /> Rita Road), NPID 82-4 <br /> <br /> Members of the Council: <br /> <br /> Background <br /> <br />On April 10, 1984 your Council approved a Mitigated Negative <br />Declaration and General Plan Amendment 84-4. A portion of the <br />amendment provided for the extension of Stoneridge Drive southerly <br />across West Las Positas Boulevard, then easterly beyond the <br />southeast corner of the Hacienda Business Park to Santa Rita Road <br />as shown in the attached Alignment A. Since that time, discussions <br />with local residents and the removal of the railroad and subsequent <br />purchase of the railroad right-of-way by Prudential has provided <br />for an alternative alignment (Alignment B, attached). A discussion <br />of the project and the two alternative alignments follows. <br /> <br />~roject Descrip~io~ <br /> <br />This project provides f3r the extension of existing six-lane <br />Stoneridge Drive through the southeast corner lot of Hacienda <br />Business Park, Phase I, across a six-lane bridge over the Arroyo <br />Mocho and through the U. S. Army well fields to Santa Rita Road. <br />Additional improvements to be provided for are the extension of the <br />East Amador Relief Sewer along the same route, soundwalls where <br />necessary to meet City noise requirements, widening of West Las <br />Positas Boulevard to accommodate additional turn lanes and revising <br />the existing traffic signals at West Las Positas Boulevard and <br />Santa Rita Road, respectively. Landscaping and lighting, <br />maintained by the Hacienda Owners' Association, will also be <br />installed. <br /> <br />SK 86:104 <br /> <br /> <br />
