Section 14. UniZorms <br /> <br /> The City shall provide all necessary safety and <br /> protection clothing, as defined by the City Manager. <br /> The City shall provide fifty percent (50%) of the <br /> initial purchase price of uniforms for those employees <br /> required to wear a prescribed uniform. <br /> <br />14.1 Uniform Allowance <br /> <br /> Effective January 1, 1986, the annual uniform allowance <br /> paid police officers and police sergeants shall be Four <br /> Hundred and Forty Dollars ($440.00) payable in one <br /> payment in April except, however, that any dollar <br /> difference in the monthly premium for the present Kaiser <br /> Health Plan as of June 1, 1986 and the monthly Kaiser <br /> health plan premium effective June 1, 1987 shall be <br /> multiplied by four (4) and added as a one time <br /> adjustment to April 1987 uniform allowance payment. <br /> <br /> Effective December 31, 1987 the annual uniform allowance <br /> shall be reduced to Four Hundred Dollars ($400.00). <br /> <br /> Section 15. Credit Association <br /> <br /> The City shall offer a voluntary payroll deduction <br /> option for those employees who wish to join the City and <br /> County Employees Credit Union and/or Operating Engineers <br /> Credit Association for the purposes of transacting <br /> business with such credit unions. <br /> <br />Section 16. Educational Incentive Pay Program <br /> <br />16.1 Purpose <br /> <br /> The purpose of this plan is to reward those eligible <br /> employees having obtained a specific level of <br /> educational achievement in an area related to their job <br /> and, in so doing, have become better qualified to <br /> discharge the duties of their respective positions. <br /> <br />16.2 Eligible Applicants <br /> <br /> Persons eligible to enroll in the Educational Incentive <br /> Plan have met all of the following requirements: <br /> <br /> A. Are permanent (non-probationary) employees with the <br /> City of Pleasanton. (Employees on probationary <br /> status as a result of promotions shall be deemed <br /> eligible under this plan.) <br /> <br /> B.
