CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 86-82 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT FOR THE <br /> TRI-VALLEY WASTEWATER AUTHORITY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Dublin-San Ramon Service District, Alameda County, <br /> and Pleasanton jointly completed a major study <br /> identifying feasible alternatives to provide sewage <br /> treatment and wastewater export capacity needed through <br /> 2010; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement has been drafted by <br /> the three agencies is hereby presented for Council <br /> consideration; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: The City Council of Pleasanton hereby approves the <br /> Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement establishing the <br /> Tri-Valley Wastewater Authority, a copy of which is <br /> attached hereto and incorporated herein by this <br /> reference. <br /> <br />Section 2: Authorizes the Mayor to execute the above-described <br /> agreement. <br /> <br />Section 3: With regard to the power to issue revenue bonds, the <br /> 1941 Bond Act is not intended to be the only statutory <br /> authority for issuing bonds and the election <br /> requirements of the 1941 Act are not a requirement of <br /> bond issuance by the JPA. <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED MARCH 4, 1986 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Mercer, Mohr, Wood and Mayor <br /> Brandes <br />NOES: None <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: None ' <br /> <br />ATTEST: ' FA <br /> <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />Peter D.
