Alameda County Transportation Improvement Authority <br />Special Transportation for Seniors and People with Disabilities <br />The PPS Riders' Guide is distributed to all PPS clients. <br />A one-page PPS flyer is used as an inexpensive mazketing piece, and is regulazly mailed to <br />agencies working with seniors and the disabled. <br />"Around Town with PPS" continues to be a popular pazatransit newsletter that is sent to PPS <br />clients, local churches, senior housing complexes, and doctors' offices. <br />The Third Annual PPS Transit Fair was held on March 17, 2008, and was well attended. It is <br />an excellent way for residents to get a variety of information on transit options. <br />PPS regularly participates in the annual Hometown Holiday Pazade, which attracts over <br />10,000 people a yeaz. <br />The City's website (www.ci.pleasanton.ca.us) was updated and includes additional transit <br />resources and links. <br />All PPS customers aze given the Access Alameda Transit Guide as part of the new client <br />packet for regionally coordinated transit. <br />Local transit information is coordinated through collaborative mazketing efforts with <br />LAVTA. All PPS printed materials include information about services provided through <br />LAVTA, and vice versa. Wheels route information and passes aze available at the Pleasanton <br />Senior Center. The PPS Supervisor attends LAVTA's Wheels Accessible Advisory <br />Committee meetings. <br />Regulaz outreach fairs aze held with LAVTA staff at local senior housing complexes, and are <br />very populaz. <br />Senior and disabled BART passes aze sold at the Pleasanton Senior Center and the City's <br />Utility Billing Department. <br />A sepazate Downtown Route Mazketing Campaign was created during FY 2007-08, as <br />described eazlier in this application, and will continue into FY 2008-09. <br />Use the spreadsheet provided to show past, current, and planned financial and operating <br />information.
