8 <br />THE CITY OF <br />- A -~- ~"'- CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />j~L£~S~NTON® <br />April 15, 2008 <br />Parks and Community Services <br />TITLE: RESOLUTION NAMING THE WESTERN PORTION OF THE BERNAL <br />PROPERTY TRAIL IN MEMORY OF "MARILYN MURPHY KANE" <br />SUMMARY <br />The City Council recently accepted a financial contribution from Mr. Jim Kane and his <br />family to complete the trail on the western parcel of the Bernal Property in memory of <br />Marilyn Murphy Kane. The Council has suggested that the trail be named in honor of <br />the late Mrs. Kane, in recognition of her efforts advocating for walking trails on the <br />Bernal Property. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />That the City Council approve the attached Resolution, designating the western portion <br />of the Bernal Property Trail in memory of Marilyn Murphy Kane. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />There is no fiscal impact associated with this action. <br />
