PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-87-80a <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A USE PERMIT FOR ST. AUGUSTINE'S <br />CATHOLIC CHURCH AS FILED UNDER CASE UP-87-23 <br />WHEREAS, St. Augustine's Catholic Church has applied for a <br />conditional use permit to install an approximately 1,450 <br />square foot temporary trailer facility for <br />office/meeting room use at an existing church complex <br />located at 900 East Angela Street; and <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is "A" (Agricultural) District; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of July 22, 1987, <br />the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission made the following findings: <br />A. The proposed <br />use is temporary, and considering its distance from <br />adjoining uses, vegetation and topography, should <br />not interfere with surrounding residential uses to <br />the west and north. <br />B. That the proposed location of the conditional use <br />and the conditions under which it would be operated <br />or maintained will not be detrimental to the public <br />health, safety, or welfare, or materially injurious <br />to the properties or improvements in the vicinity. <br />The temporary trailer would be located on an <br />abandoned basketball court in the northeast corner <br />of the site. The use would be of a passive nature, <br />and, hence, not disturb the surrounding residences. <br />The trailer would be separated from nearby occupied <br />residences by approximately 360' to the north and <br />500' to the west. Therefore, the proposed use will <br />not be detrimental to the public health, safety and <br />- 1 - <br />
