PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON
ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION NO. PC-87-124
RESOLUTION APPROVING CASE UP-87-50, APPLICATION OF JOHN
TORRES
WHEREAS, John Torres has applied for a conditional use permit to
maintain a bird aviary at an existing residence located
at 5504 Corte Sierra; and
WHEREAS, zoning for the property is R-1-6500 (Single-family
Residential) District; and
WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of November 24,
1987, the Planning Commission considered all public
testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the
City staff concerning this application; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission made the following findings:
1. That the proposed location of the conditional use
is in accordance with the objectives of the zoning
ordinance and the purposes of the district in which
the site is located.
The proposed use and attached conditions insure
compliance with the applicable regulations of the
R-1-6500 zoning district. The use would not
detract from the residential character of the area.
2. That the proposed location of the conditional use
and the conditions under which it would be operated
or maintained will not be detrimental to the public
health, safety, or welfare, or be materially
injurious to the properties or improvements in the
vicinity.
As conditioned by the Planning Commission, the
proposed use should have an insignificant impact on
the properties and inhabitants of the surrounding
area.
- 1 -
